Can I bring a plus one?

Unless otherwise stated on your invitation, we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests or plus ones. We thank you for understanding that we would like to keep our wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family!

We're really roughin' it?

That's right! Long drive, limited/no cell phone reception, small town - this place has it all!

Black bears are common in Downieville, but this is no cause for alarm! They're just looking for snacks, so please make sure that you lock your cars and cabins and store your food outside of your tent.

This is also a DIY wedding! We hope that everyone who can will lend a hand when needed. Moving tables and chairs, picking up after ourselves,  making sure the kids are staying out of trouble, you know all the community-building stuff <3

What should I wear?

The dress code is Semi-Formal Garden Party Attire. See this document for some inspiration! We want our guests to look and, most importantly, feel their best!

In general we recommend a suit and tie or cocktail dress, chunky heels that you can dance the night away in without sinking into the grass, and no jeans.

Also, prepare for weather to be on the warmer side! All of the events will be held outdoors, so bring a light jacket for the evening.

We kindly ask that no one wear colors traditionally reserved for the bride such as white, ivory, or cream.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones during the ceremony?

We love photos, however we do ask that you refrain from taking them during the ceremony! We have hired a photographer that we trust to capture the moment and we want you to be able to enjoy the ceremony to the fullest extent.

For the reception you are welcomed and encouraged to take photos!

Can I  bring my dog?

As you all know, we love your furry friends! Our local dog park is where we met most of our close friends, and we enjoy hosting chaotic dog parties at our house regularly! However, we are sad to say that we cannot host your furry friend for our wedding. Not all dogs get along and it's hard for us to allow some and not others. Additionally, dogs require a lot of our attention and we want you to be able to focus on enjoying the weekend with us!

Please also note that because dogs will not be allowed at our wedding, they also will not be allowed in the lodging. It will likely be a hot weekend, and we can't run the risk of pets being left in the hotel rooms. Please find a dog sitter for the weekend!

Are children allowed?

Heck yeah! We love your kids.

However, we will not have child care at our wedding, so we ask that you consider this when planning your trip. We will be staying up late dancing and drinking, and you may want to take this opportunity to have a weekend getaway with just your significant other.
